General Provisions
The Travel Book (트래블 북) app (the "Service") provided by New Future Plan (the "Company") values the personal information of its users and complies with the Personal Information Protection Act of Korea and other applicable laws. This Policy applies to the use of the Travel Book (트래블 북) app and explains how personal information is processed, including its collection, use, storage, and destruction.
1. Purposes of Processing Personal Information
The Company uses the personal information it collects for the following purposes.
- Member management (identity verification, confirmation of intent to register, responding to inquiries, etc.)
- Provision and operation of the Service (travel itinerary management, expense management, exchange rate information, etc.)
- Improvement of the Service and provision of personalized services
- Fulfillment of legal obligations, handling of disputes, etc.
2. Processing and Retention Period of Personal Information
1) The Company retains and uses personal information until the purposes of its collection and use have been achieved. Where applicable laws require that information be kept for a certain period, it is kept for that period.
- Upon membership withdrawal: retained for one (1) month from the date of withdrawal and then destroyed (the account can be restored if you re-register within one month; after that, it is permanently destroyed)
- Retention as required by applicable laws, such as the Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce
- In-app data may be stored in a local database/storage on the device (e.g., SQLite, SharedPreferences) and on servers.
2) The New Future Plan website and the Travel Book (트래블 북) app use the same account. Therefore, withdrawing from membership on one service also withdraws you from the other, and your personal information for all services is deleted together.
3. Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties
As a rule, the Company does not provide users' personal information to outside parties. The following cases are exceptions.
- Where the user has given prior consent
- Where provision is required by law or by legal procedures, such as a request from an investigative agency
4. Outsourcing of Personal Information Processing
Where necessary to provide the Service, the Company may outsource the processing of personal information to specialized external companies. In such cases, the Company will notify users of the outsourced tasks and the identity of the outsourcee.
5. Rights and Obligations of Data Subjects and How to Exercise Them
Users and their legal representatives may at any time request access to, correction or deletion of, or suspension of processing of their personal information, or withdraw their consent. These rights may be exercised by contacting the Company in writing, by email, through customer support, or by other means.
Caution regarding disconnecting social login services: If a user disconnects their account from a social login service such as Apple, Google, or Kakao, the existing account cannot be restored even if the user connects again; a new account will be created instead. Because disconnecting a social login has an effect similar to withdrawing from membership, please consider carefully before doing so.
6. Measures to Ensure the Security of Personal Information
The Company takes the following measures to ensure the security of personal information.
- Administrative measures: establishing an internal management plan, training employees, etc.
- Technical measures: restricting access to personal information, encryption, installing security software, encrypting data stored on the device, etc.
- Physical measures: controlling access to computer rooms, data storage rooms, etc.
7. Advertising and Provision of Information to Third Parties
To display in-app advertisements (such as Google AdMob), the Company may provide certain information, such as the advertising ID and device information, to advertising partners (such as Google).
